Our program will talk about two very important, but very different, charitable organizations. Both are close to our hearts.

David Crumbley will tell use everything we always wanted to know about The Rotary Foundation.  How we can give. How the money is used.  And most importantly, Why we give.

John Murtha and Brian Loy (both former Presidents of the Club) will be making a presentation on the Rotary Club of Reno-Central’s Charitable Foundation (“Club Foundation”).  The Club Foundation was formed in June 2016 to serve as the Club’s vehicle to accept tax exempt charitable gifts to be used to fund Club scholarships and to be distributed to primarily local charitable organizations promoting IRS 501(c)(3) causes.  All of the net proceeds from the Crab Feed are deposited with and administered by the Club Foundation.  The Club Foundation is DIFFERENT than the Rotary Foundation.  The presentation will attempt to examine the differences between the Club Foundation and the Rotary Foundation and why you may wish to donate to the Club Foundation.  The presentation will also focus on how Club members can make gifts to the Club Foundation or request distributions on behalf of a favored charity or charitable cause.
