Quincy Rotary
Bulletin

March 5, 2025

Welcome to another issue of our weekly bulletin! Find out who our speaker was on Monday, who our newest member is, and who are our Members of the Week.
Quincy's Workforce Development

Monday's speaker, Irshad Stolden, is the Resource Coordinator at Alliance For Workforce Development, providing pathways to success. Irshad has lived in the Quincy community for nine years. He is aware that people are leaving the county because they don't think there are enough career opportunities. That's where Irshad comes in. He is the middleman who connects people with job opportunities and vice versa. He finds job positions for those looking and thus finds job candidates for all businesses looking to hire.

His office coordinates job training, like firefighting. For instance, he has a contract with FRC for training and hiring firefighters and is able to pay a portion of the salaries through salary reimbursements as well as pay for an individual firefighter's equipment which is typically out of pocket.

If you are looking to hire call 530-283-1606 or email Irshad at istolden@ncen.org.

New Member
Quincy Rotary welcomes to the club the new Quincy CHP Lieutenant Commander, Ryan Pedersen. Hailing from Austin, Minnesota,
Ryan served nine years in the U.S. Navy and was an S.A.R. Swimmer. The Navy brought him to California - specifically San Diego where he obtained a Masters of Science from University of San Diego. He spent one year in the Visalia, California Police Department before joining the CHP.

Introduce yourselves to Ryan at the next meeting.
Tee Time!
The Annual Quincy Rotary Golf Tournament on Saturday May 17 (the Biggest Club Fundraiser of the year!) banks most of its money from, not the golf fees, but the Tee Signs. At $50 a pop, the ad signs provide an effective and inexpensive way to advertise businesses and services.

So Sell, Sell, Sell starting now as many Tee Signs as possible or... else! Hey look, there was no 50/50 Raffle, so members have not had to sell anything this year, yet.
