Quincy Rotary
Bulletin

May 2, 2025

Welcome to another issue of our weekly bulletin! Let's focus on the photos of the fun we had, the honors we bestowed, the work we did to create the good fellowship of Quincy Rotary over the past few weeks.
2025 Foundation Dinner

The 2025 District Foundation dinner, held at Moon's Restuarant, gathered Rotarians from Greenville, Portola and Quincy. The room was filled with good food, drink and smiles.

Lisa accepted an award for QR. During her term as president, QR donated the greatest amount of $$'s to the Foundation's Polio Plus for the area. Yay QR!
Dwight accepted his Paul Harris +7 honor.

Mike S. was awarded Paul Harris +5.

Highway Clean-up
Eight club members geared up to clean-up their community - specifically Hwy. 70 - in obervance of International Rotarian Work Day.
When she moves soon, QR is gonna miss Karen P. and her willingness to pitch in where there is a need, even if it means wearing the goofy hardhat.
Last Monday's Meeting
Kelsha Sutherland, owner of Quincy's The Coffee House, is excited to join Quincy Rotary. Mike Summerfield is her sponsor. Kelsha says she was looking for a service based community and found it in Rotary.
Chief of the Quincy Volunteer Fire Department, Frank Carey, spoke at Monday's meeting. He led the Career Exposure Event for 160 Plumas County 7th to 12th graders at the Fairgrounds recently. The students were given the opportunity to explore career in the Public Safety sector. It was a great success.
