Thanksgiving Meals
These fine Rotarians - Andy Ryback, Richard Stockton, David Windle, Zoe Stancer (co-organizer with Brenda), "Mom," Jim Boland, Lisa Kelly, Mike Flanigan, Sarah Gallagher, and Karen Kleven - delivered over 50 hot Turkey dinners to home-bound folks in Quincy Tuesday night. We are grateful for you!
Crawl through Quincy
This Monday's meeting is an evening "Crawl" to two businesses in Quincy.
Start at Rethink Industries, 5:30 pm, in the old State Farm Office building, 65 Main Street. Rethink's Founder and Director Aly Kinne will be our host and share bits about her expertise in mental health.
Then we crawl on to The Wildflower Cafe (521 Main St.), where owner Sara Frigo will host a wine and appetizer tasting.
Be Prepared by Being Alert
On Monday, Chandler Peay, Plumas County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer, introduced Genasys Protect to Quincy Rotary. We learned if you have the Code Red app on your phone, delete it. Instead, download the Genasys Protect App which Plumas County has instituted as the new Emergency Alert System. Stay notified of any emergency. Genasys will alert residents about issues that may affect our safety, such as wildfires, road closures, floods caused by atmospheric rivers, etc. When you register, you may enter multiple phones and addresses such as your home and business.
Download the app from an App Store, like Apple App, if you can remember your password. Not to worry; you also can access the system through the Plumas County Website:
