Quincy Rotary
Bulletin

March 28, 2024

Welcome to another issue of our weekly bulletin! Find out the winner of the annual Music Contest, the date of the Foundation Dinner, and what is planned for Monday.
The Sounds of Music
Music rang out at Quincy Elementary when four talented Quincy high schoolers displayed their musical abilities at Quincy Rotary's Music Contest Concert Monday evening. Fisher Clark, last year's winner, retained his first-place spot with his piano piece. Guitar player William Coelho came in second and flutist Kaitlynn Miller came in third. Adria Black on violin placed fourth. All demonstrated the hard work and commitment it takes to master a musical instrument and the guts it takes to perform in front of an audience.

Quincy Rotary is grateful for the contest judges: The Drunk Brushes' Ricardo Jacobus, Lutheran minister Kendra Fredrickson and Plumas Charter School's Greg Willis. Also, a thank you to the timekeeper, Jim Boland as well as Jordan Blanton, QES principal, for providing the space and piano.

Save the Date!
Mark Friday, April 12, 2024, 6 pm on your calendars. That evening is the Area Foundation Dinner which includes Greenville Rotary, Portola Rotary, Loyalton Rotary and Quincy Rotary.
The dinner honors those Rotarians - Paul Harris Fellows - who contribute, or who have contributions made in their name, of $1,000 to The Rotary Foundation.

The Quincy Volunteer Fire Department are preparing a feast (I heard something about steaks!) for dinner. Guests need to pay $35 per person in advance. David Windle or Lisa can take checks or cash.

There is a Dress Code! Dressy Casual meaning no denim, sneakers, or sweats. And there are stairs involved with no lifts, so beware.

Let’s show a strong turn-out, Quincy Rotary, to honor those contributions of fellow Rotarians.
Easter Monday
Who knew there was an Easter Monday Holiday? Well, Quincy Rotary is taking it!

No meeting this Monday!

Happy Easter Monday!

Thanks Rotary
These gals are forever grateful to Rotary for putting a bench at the top of the mountain!
