Area 2 Foundation Dinner
Friday night brought several Rotary VIP's (DG Jeff Gabriel, DGE Stacey Graham, District Foundation chair and PDG Doug McDonald, and PDG Steve Lewis) to the table for the annual Area 2 Foundation Dinner. The Presidents and future Presidents of the Portola and Greenville clubs attended the dinner as well.
The evening event recognized the Paul HarrisFellows in Area 2. To become a Fellow, Rotarians give $1000+ to the Rotary Foundation. With each additional $1000 gift, members are recognized at Multiple PHF Levels.
Those donors recognized at the dinner were all from Quincy Rotary including:
Darren Beatty - PHF
David Little- PHF +1
Rick Leonhardt- PHF +1
Rick Foster- PHF +2
Mike Flanigan - PHF +2
Karen Pierson- PHF +2
Mike Summerfield - PHF +3
The top honor went to David Windle who was recognized as a Major Donor which is PHF +10 or more. Bravo!!!
Where to Wear Suits in Quincy
James Bond said, "You can take on the world in a good suit." That's what the Plumas County DA'S Office proved to us Monday! David Hollister with his new recruits Graham Archer and Brian Hagen (alongside suit-less Darren) spoke to Rotary about the challenges facing the county - like having only 2 sheriffs patrolling miles from Chester through Portola daily. Law enforcement is short staffed, but Public Safety is Plumas County's #1 priority, especially the schools. Archer, who hails from D.C., and Hagen from Reno are up to the challenges - we welcome their expertise! It was nice to have these "Suits" in the room!
