Start thinking now on how to best serve Quincy Rotary this 2023-2024 Year!

On Monday, July 31, Rotary will host an Assembly meeting. Each of you will interact with the Committee Chairs, learn details of each committee and then choose the committee where you think you can help the most.

So...the commitees include:

Membership - Jim Boland: recruit & retain members

Community Services - Zoe Stancer: Golf Tournament, 50/50 Raffle, Community Supper, Hwy. Clean-up, Rotary Closet

Rotary Foundation - Dave Windle: Polio Plus, Rotary World Peace, Annual Programs Fund

Public Image - Beth Reid: Social Media, Bulletin, Website, Social Activities, Media Stories

Club Admin - John Sheehan: Weekly Programs, Attendance, Club Service

Youth Services - Steve Hill & Jeb Heiman: Speech & Music Contests, Scholarships, RYLA & REGL, Kindergarten Reading, Dictionary Give-Away

Service above Self is a Rotary motto! Bring all of your numerous strengths and talents to the table on July 31. Sign up for the committee/s where you can best serve.

Show & Sell - Last Week's Speakers

4-H'ers Skylar Ralston brought his Market Goat and Lianna Powers-Johnson brought her chicken to Monday's Rotary. Joining them were their 4-H leader, Gina McGirr, and Plumas Sierra County Fair Manager, John Steffanic. John gave us a brief history of the fair while the 4-H members gave us a brief history of their animals. It was kind of like Show and Tell in elementary school! Though Lianna will not be selling her chicken at the Livestock Auction on Sunday, July 30 at the Fairgrounds, Skylar will be selling his goat, which is a meat animal.

They all encouraged us to come to the Junior Livestock Shows throughout Fair Week - July 27-30 to watch kids show their steers, pigs, lambs, goats, chickens, dogs and horses!

Only 7 out of 44 members signed up to walk with the Rotary "Float" at the Fair Parade, Downtown Quincy on Saturday morning, 7/29/2023. We need More!!! Good Times are promised and maybe some Mimosas! Sign-up on Monday or text 530-927-7822. Our Community Needs to See Us Out Front!
