Thanks to the organizational skills of Brenda R., Rotary's assistance at the Plumas Health Flu Clinic was seamless. In addition, Rotary raised funds for Polio Plus.
The Rotarians who helped included Jeb H., John S., Beth R., Andy R., David W., Darren B., and of course Brenda.
Announcements
There will be no Rotary meeting on Monday, October 10, 2022 in observance of Columbus Day. The following week, Jim Boland, will share his story on the water project Rotary supports in Africa.
Then, on Saturday, October 22nd at 1:00pm we will clean up our portions of local highways. Meet at the Safeway parking lot. Karen P. and Kory will be providing more details as we get closer.
Go Niner's or Who Won Monday Nite Football
With the exception of diehard Ram's fan, David Windle, most of the Rotarians who came to Monday night's Rotary Monday Nite Football cheered for the SF 49'ers. The Niners did not disappoint, though the Rams were favored to win. But San Francisco beat them 24 to 9.
Near the end of the first half, a man, identified as an animal-rights protestor, ran on to the field carrying a flare. As security staff chased the man down, Bobby Wagner, the Rams' 240lb linebacker, intercepted and tackled him, as the crowd roared. Oh the excitement!
Thanks to John and Rhonda Breaux, T.V.'s were plentiful (one in every room) as were food and drinks.
