New President Lisa tried to conduct a meeting on Monday, but after a delicious lunch of stuffed peppers, along with the Pledge of Allegiance, a rousing round of God Bless America, and a quick prayer, Rotarians pushed their chairs from their tables and headed out the door. See you all back at the Mineral Building this Monday!
Bienvenida A Kaleb
Rotary Exchange student, Kaleb Durpras, has arrived in Argintina for his short term exchange. At a local Rotary meeting, Kaleb presented our Quincy Rotary banner. He has met colleagues from Turkey and Taiwan and is planning a trip to the famous Iguazu Falls. He says the language barrier is challenging but he is enjoying his time. A shout-out to David Little for seeing that this exchange happened despite difficulties. Let's hope there are more youth exchanges in our Rotary Club's future.
The Fair is Coming Soon...
Fair Time is fun time in Quincy. Plumas-SierraCounty Fair Manager John Steffanic updates us this coming Monday about the 2023 Fair - June 27-30. John will be joined by some 4-H and FFA animals with their people. Should be entertaining!
Wanted: Rotarians in the Fair Parade!
Put on a blue Rotary shirt and your walking shoes to join the Quincy Rotary entry in the 2023 Fair Parade, Saturday, July 29! Parade starts at 10 am, so plan to meet at 9:30 am. Details of where to meet and a sign-up sheet coming soon!
