Mark Your Calendars!
Mark down Saturday, Nov. 12 to help when the last phase of the Rotary Triangle Project will be to install the metal sculptures, to place more rocks along the creek bed, to add wood chips, and to place the stone recognizing the supporters of this project. The work begins at 9 am until noon.
At 1 pm, there will be an official Dedication at the site. All are encouraged to attend!
On Monday, Nov. 6, volunteers are needed to help with the School Clothes Closet. Meet at the Alder Campus of QES at 3:30 pm.
Wednesday, Nov. 23 is the Thanksgiving Dinner Delivery to folks in need. Brenda will have a sign-up sheet at the Monday, Nov. 6 lunch meeting.
Announcements
Rotary's meeting on Monday, Nov. 6 will showcase the REGL students who attended the 8th grade leadership camp this past summer. A great group of 6 local students attended so their stories should be inspiring.
Make a note that because of holidays, there will be No Rotary meetings on November 14 or 21.
Last week's speaker
The 1st ever Quincy Rotary Halloween Party was a smashing success! Rick F. helped by literally smashing the Candy Jar as we tried to guess how many pieces were inside...hmm, glass shards mixed with Tootsie Roll Pops - was that a Trick or a Treat? Though Rick was a little underdressed, most showed up in some pretty awesome costumes! Chris Parent's CHP outfit was so authentic! But Brenda - the Queen - was diamond in a sea of gems and won the Costumer Contest! Beer Pong was fun even without the beer. The Blue Sky Ukeladies strummed as Dwight P. recreated "Monster Mash."
All and all, it was a good time and now on to the Christmas Party.
