Sounds of Music
Wednesday evening's Rotary MusicContestshowcased the remarkable talents of high school musicians - pianist Fisher Clark and violinist Jura Lunder. Fisher performed the first movement of Beethoven's Pathetique Sonata as well as Autumn Leaves. Jura played Bach's Gavotte in G minor, as well as the Irish tune, Star of Brittney, and another traditional folk piece, Basso.
Fisher walked away with first place but Jura followed close behind in second place. Both musicians are students of music master Johnene McDonald.

Help at Tomorrow's Trash Can Distribution

Karen K. is meeting Waste Management on Friday morning and they will trash the old trashy garbage cans throughout downtown Quincy. Then Rotarians will roll the shiny, clean new ones (which were purchased with PG&E funds) onto the Quincy sidewalks. This calls for a celebration! Or just a shout-out to Karen for her endeavors.
