Monday's Pop-Up Christmas Shopping
There seems to be a movement in Plumas County to Buy Local or so said Monday's guest speakers. Four female driven businesses visited Rotary to showcase their wares and to encourage local shopping. These "shop" owners - Amy Carey from Quincy Provisions, Emma Talamantes from LostSierra Food Project, Liz Swindell from Graeagle's Wild Pines and partner in Quincy's new brew pub, Rich Bar, and Lara Wheeler from Indian ValleyInnovation Hub - focus on local homemade products.
A take-away from Monday's pop-up shopping was that if Plumas County wishes to remain vibrant and thriving, the community needs to spend money in the community and support local shop owners.
A Christmas Party
Quincy Rotary is throwing a Christmas Party! Don we now our bad apparel! Put on your elf ears, string some lights around your neck, don that Christmas sweater you had no idea was ugly! Oh, and bring a white elephant gift for someone lucky enough to pick it. See you at 5:30 pm on Monday, Dec. 18.
A 50/50 Christmas Gift
Here's an idea - give the gift of Quincy Rotary this season! Stuff a 50/50 Raffle ticket under the tree or in your love one's stocking. The tickets are $50 and all Rotarians need to sell 5 by sometime in February 2024. Jeb has the tickets at the Quincy Plumas Bank.
So either give a ticket as a gift or sell, sell, sell. That is the way to keep Quincy Rotary thriving!
