Refresh of The Town Hall Theatre
Quincy Rotarians waxed nostalgic as they shared memories of the Town Hall Theatre they recalled in their past. Thanks to Plumas Arts and the vision of Plumas Arts Executive Director Christopher Rouse Isla Hernandez, our local movie theatre has been restored, enhancing its historic charm and those nostalgic memories.
Christopher worked at the theatre in high school and went on to manage the operation. Fast forward and, though he traveled out of Quincy, Christopher returned and is once again "in charge" of the theatre.
With the endowment of a devoted patron, Captain Carl Clark, Plumas Arts revitalized the Town Hall Theatre. The lobby's refresh is Phase One, next comes Phase Two: Elevating the Experience to enhance the sound and lighting of the theatre; followed by Phase Three: Restoring a Landmark, bringing back the charm of the exterior. Captain Carl left money to the theatre (where he once spent his Sunday evenings at the movies) to ensure a vital gathering space remain open and thriving for generations to come.

Liz Swindell created an Art Deco mural - a brilliant compliment in the theatre lobby. Liz is Plumas Arts' Assistant Director and an artist.
The newly renovated men's room is adorned with vintage film reels from the theatre's past.
