Announcements
At the Board meeting wearing face masks was discussed. Due to the resurgence of COVID it is suggested that we follow the protocol restaurants have in place which includes wearing your mask upon entry, while receiving your food, and after your meal is completed. Let's do our part to stop the spread so we can continue to meet in person.
Last week's speakers
Hannah Hepner, Program Manager for Plumas Fire Safe Council, Chris Carlton, Forest Service Supervisor, and Ryan Bauer from Hazardous Fuels and Prescribed Fire shared information about the chance of Quincy once again experiencing a wild fire compared to other regions, and provided information about what conditions and areas are most at risk. They provided many examples of what agencies are doing to mitigate the chance of a future disaster, and also what individuals can do to protect their property.
Member of the Week
Rick Leonhardt won the LARGE sum of money shared by the Polio Plus fund by choosing the right marble- finally!!! We have to assume he has bought a lot of tickets throughout the years to be such a BIG winner! Congratulations Rick for your generosity!!
