Hello; Good-Bye
Let us not forget that last June, Lisa was sworn-in as president via Zoom while sipping a margarita in Mexico - a virtual first for Quincy Rotary! That milestone took place one year ago and QR is ready for a new president - Jeb Heiman - to steer QR into another successful year.
Come bid Hello to Jeb and Good-bye to Lisa at the De-Motion dinner on Monday, June 24 at the Mineral Building. Cocktails at 5:30 pm; dinner at 6 pm. The laughs begin after soon after! Let Lisa know you are coming and if you are bringing a guest.

What CTE Means
This group of educators spoke at last Monday's meeting to give us an understanding of C(areer) T(echnical) E(ducation) in Plumas County. They included Darlene Oertle, Allied Health Director at Feather River College, Danielle Wagner Plocki, Patient Care at Plumas Charter, Rachel Molsee, CTE Program Supervisor at PUSD, Taletha Washburn, Executive Director of Plumas Charter, and Gabe Miller, head of CTE at FRC.
Career Technical Education (CTE)
provides students of all ages with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. Much of the education is hands-on in the classroom, in businesses, and virtually when necessary. The take-away from the program is that CTE needs pros like Quincy Rotarians to provide teaching, job shadowing opportunities, and internships for students who are preparing for the workforce. Quincy Rotary College Scholarship Recipients
Quincy Rotary was proud to award three stellar Quincy High School students college scholarships. The students received $750 including Dani Weaver, Simone Smith, and Kaleb Dupras (QR Exchange student) seen here with Rotarian Mike Flanigan.
