Welcome to another issue of our bulletin! Find out about the Area 2 Foundation Dinner, who presented at last week's meeting, and who is presenting next week. And Bravo to Loralei, our music contest performer!
Where there is hope, there is no darkness..
Our Rotary District 5190 celebrated achievements at the recent Area 2 Foundation Dinner. The dinner was held at Graeagle Meadows; Rotarians came from Greenville, Portola, Loyalton and Quincy. Lisa Kelly accepted an award for QR for our financial support of the 2024-2025 End Polio Now campaign.
District 5190's Dr. Scott Kellerman delivered a powerful keynote highlighting the transformative impact of his medical mission to Uganda's Batwa Pygmies, made possible through Rotary's global grant initiatives. Dr. Kellerman began his mobile health units in Uganda in the outdoors under trees. Since then, with the help of Rotary and hope and dreams, Dr. Kellerman oversaw the expansive development of a pioneering medical campus.
Dr. Kelleman says that now, "Kids are educated, girls are uplifted, smiles are restored, the lame walk and the blind see - as a result of: Service Above Self!"
David Little was instrumental in bringing Dr. Scott Kellerman to speak at the Area 2 Foundation Dinner.
At the well attended dinner, folks were rivited by the presentation.
