American Valley Hardware Expands
Quincy Rotary met in the evening last Monday at Rich Bar - then ran through rain to the former Rite Aid building where RB and American Valley Hardware owner Alex Westerberg laid out plans for the expansion of AVH.
Look for appliances, furniture, guns & ammo, clothes & shoes, and rental equipment - the expansion goes from a 1300 to 33,000 sq. ft. footprint! In addition to being able to buy all you need in Quincy, we can enjoy a Thrifty/Rite Aid ice cream cone while exploring the spacious store.
Alex W., seen here with QR Prez JoDee, welcomed the club, serving delicious appretizers.
The Yates family and Mimi enjoyed the night's festivities.
The Club walked through the rain from Rich Bar to the old Rite Aid.
A good number of Rotarians turned out for the tour.
Members were intent on hearing the expansion plans.
Lisa, Mark L., and his wife Jazmin joined the tour.
About Plumas-Eureka State Park
Next week Stephanie Budenthal from Plumas Eureka State Park will be our speaker. Located in Graeagle, Northern California, Plumas-Eureka State Park’s beautiful 67 site campground is adjacent to Jamison Creek and hiking trails. This unique park offers a look at the ecological wonders of the high Sierra and a glimpse of the cultural history of the Gold Rush.
Fore! The Golf Tournament is upon Us!
Ask Rick Leonhardt about working at the annual Quincy Rotary Golf Tournament at the Plumas Pines Golf course - Saturday, May 16 - if you haven't already. This is our biggest money maker, so all hands on deck. Either you are playing or you are working. Let's cross our fingers for perfect weather.
