Rotary Wanders
Rotary wandered the streets of Quincy last Monday evening. Our first stop was Rethink Industries, Rotarian Richard Stockton's old State Farm Office building. Aly Kinne, who is the founder and director of Rethink Industries, bought the building from Richard and renovated the inside.Aly Kinne hosted our Rotary mixer and gave a tour of the new digs. We were impressed with the re-design of Richard Stockton's old place.
Aly shared her company's vision which is a creative and innovative practice designed to provide individualized, customizable mental health treatment. The staff of Rethink were on hand to greet us. The enterprise is impressive.
Then Quincy Rotary moved downtown to gather at Wildflower Cafe for delicious small bites with wine tasting. Cafe owners Sara Frigo and Chris Connell greeted us and shared some specialties like the grilled brussels sprouts and Spanish peppers which were to die for!
Both businesses are relatively new to Quincy. Wildflower just celebrated its first anniversary and Rethink its fifth.
A Dictionary is Merely the Universe Arranged in Alphabetical Order - Anatole France
Quincy Rotary gifted dictionaries to all the 3rd Graders in Quincy. The photo shows Steve Hill, Beth Reid, and Jim Boland distributing dictionaries to Sierra Gallagher's 3rd grade at Plumas Charter School! The students loved looking up the longest word in the world and the planets and Periodic Table and the capital of Nevada - so much can be found in a dictionary!

Serena Troupe from Plumas County's 20,000 Lives is this Monday's speaker. What is 20,000 Lives you ask? Well it is a community coalition designed to connect people that strive to make our communities even better places to live, work, learn, and play.
