The Lost Sierra
Last week’s speaker, Mark Picotich of the
Lost Sierra Chamber of Commerce, sparked a rousing discussion with members. Rotarians spoke up offering professional opinions on areas of their expertise on home insurance, home buying, home hardening, economic development, and more.

Since 1980, the Lost Sierra Chamber has worked to support its mission to be a vital strategic partner creating resources and opportunities for member success, quality of life, engagement, and meaningful impact. Representing 100+ businesses, the Lost Sierra Chamber serves to create and support a strong local economy.

The take-away from the presentation? There is work to be done to “harden” our county and Rotary offers a well-versed constituency who can help along with the Lost Sierra Chamber.
Kinship
Pull on your boots, grab your partner and head out to the Kinship Ranch for a fun evening this Monday, May 20 starting at 5 pm. Rotarian Kevin Cook and wife Valerie graciously invited this Wild Bunch to the family’s ranch. Enjoy their idyllic setting - a working ranch and unique wedding venue, with spectacular views of a large pond, 100 acres of grass pastures and mountain forest, and the lovingly-restored 140-year-old farmhouse and barns.
Member of the Week
Mike Summerfield consistently, but unobtrusively, tracks our club’s weekly attendance even after recently losing his home to fire and starting a job at a new company.  Mike prioritizes Quincy Rotary and we are better for him.
