Where Dope is King!
Hear ye! Hear ye!
On Monday, Plumas Ski Club's Don Fregulia and our own John Sheehan presented the history of the Club and its legendary Longboard Races. The Plumas Ski Club promotes community skiing activities through historical re-enactments of 1860's era ski racing in the Lost Sierra. Its primary mission is to raise funds, by sponsoring community events, for the continued maintenance and eventual re-opening of the Johnsville Historic Ski Bowl.
Anyone can compete or spectate! It's a Family-friendly event. Food and alcohol are for sale. Shuttles are available. There is a suggested donation at entrance to the ski hill.
The Historic Longboard Racing Revival Series takes place at noon on every third Sunday of January, February, and March. So Think Snow!
