Sibling Rivalry
By coincidence, siblings Sierra Blanton and bro Beau Blanton were QR's guest speakers delivering diverse pitches for their individual projects at Quincy Rotary on Monday. Both were convincing.
Beau, the 2024 QHS Football Coach, presented first, pitching sponsorships for the Quincy High School Athletic Program. Part of QHS Boosters, these corporate, individual or family sponsorships start at $300 at the Bronze Level, followed by the Silver Level at $600, Gold Level at $900 and Platinum at $1200. Each includes signage in either the gym or the outdoor fields or both. Dollars are used to improve athletic equipment.
Sierra, Executive Director of Plumas Health Care Foundation, pitched the upcoming Starry Mountain Nights - the cornerstone fundraising event for Plumas Health Care Foundation. The 13th annual event takes place August 24 at the Morrison Ranch Barn. Proceeds are earmarked for the landscaping of the new Nursing Facility. All contributions help to enhance the healthcare infrastructure of PDH.

RYLA 2024
In June, Northern Nevada/Northern California Districts 5180/5190 hostedRYLA - A Rotary Youth Awakening for High School Juniors and Seniors and tomorrow's leaders.
Quincy Rotary sent two future leaders Kaitlynn and Ava. The two participated in a character-building program provided by the Grizzly Creek Ranch Ropes Course, which focuses on leadership, effective communication, trust and cooperation. They will share their insights at a QR meeting in the fall.
Attendance at RYLA is supported by fully paid scholarships provided by the generosity of Rotarians. The camp takes place at the superb educational retreat at the Grizzly Creek Ranch located near Portola, California.
Meet 4-H'ers & their Animals
This Monday's meeting takes place in Old Town at the Plumas/Sierra County Fair with a preview of 4-H'ers animals. Then, we will walk through the livestock barns. The Fair is next week - July 25-28, 2024.
Don't forget the Fair Parade, Saturday, July 27 at 10 am. Cheer on the Rotary Entry - maybe we will win a blue ribbon like last year!
