Plumas National Forest Fire Chief Marty Senter presented to Quincy Rotary on fire and fuel management, noting a significant statistic: 65% of the PNF forest has burned in the last 7 years, and stressing the need for homeowners to take measures to harden their properties against wildfires.
1,400,000 acres are protected by PNF Fire Management.
PNF Fire Chief Senter oversees 274 staff positions.
