Small Town Revitilization Dream

Deb Hopkins spoke at Quincy Rotary on Monday, sharing her dream of building an outdoor theater - Quincy Pavilion - at Dame Shirley Plaza. The creation of an event space in the downtown area could lift the economy and engage the community.

Deb has brought her proposal to the Board of Supervisors and discussed her plans with the local art community including Drama Works/Weest End Theaters and Plumas Arts.

While work remains, Deb is hopeful and dedicated to bringing her dream to fruition.

Flu Vaccines Raise $$ for Polio

President JoDee along with Karen K., Zoe, and Bill E. (who didn't make the photo op) helped at the County Flu Vaccine Clinic where they wrangled $295 from participants. Those dollars go into the fund to wipe out polio. Rotary turned flu shots into polio eradication funds.

Along with our partners, we have helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries. We have reduced polio cases by 99.9 percent worldwide and we won't stop until we end the disease for good.

One vaccine helps fund another.

Next Week's Speaker
Jake Williams from the Hub on Main Street will discuss Artificial Intelligence.

Happy Halloween!
