Last Week's Program Leads to QR's Future
What to do when the scheduled speaker was a no-show? Pull an idea out of a magician's hat - which is what Lisa K. did last Monday and it worked!
Quincy Rotary has needed to assemble as a “team” to coax out our future, collective projects. Ideas were teased out of the group of 20+ along the lines of: What is it we want to do; what is it we can do? What do we want to be known for when we present ourselves to the local community?
Groups were formed around topics like food, membership, public image. Good thoughts were shared like tag team with Quincy Fire Department for the local parades, create a monthly community project, shoot Rotary tees out of a cannon at events like the rodeo (ok - that was my idea).
Just remember, EVERY Rotary member is important; EVERY member can share their expertise; EVERY member can spur the club to achieve more. That's what we need to do - achieve more. Let's become a BIGGER presence our community.
See some of our past, local projects displayed below.
