Community Supper
This week marked the first event - Wednesday's Community Supper - for newbie Zoe Stancer as the 2023/24 Community Service Leader. Rotary served 125 meals. The evening was filled with good community spirit.
Thank you all who served including prepping, serving, cleaning-up!
It takes many hands to serve 125 meals!
The lively evening supper included Caesar Salad, bread and watermelon. Many returned for seconds.
Mark your calendars
Remember: This Monday's noon meeting, July 31, is at the Methodist Church. We are holding an assembly where members pick a committee to serve for 2023/24. Will it be Youth Services? Club Service? Community Service? The Foundation? Membership? Public Image? Be Thinking!
Announcements - See you at the
Fair parade!
Last week's speaker
Nicole Stumpf - the Occupational Therapist at Plumas District Hospital - got Monday's group moving! Nicole taught us the importance of strength, mobility and coordination and how to compensate when those are lacking in our lives. Through simple movements, we determined our risk of taking a fall. Her presentation was both humorous and serious. If any of us, or our loved ones, need help with ADL/iADL's - the basics of healthy living, Nicole is the perfect therapist. We are lucky to have her in Quincy!

Member of the Week - Hail to Zoe!
Hail to Zoe Stancer's Caesar Salad (& PDH's giant lettuce spinner)!  Newbie Rotarian, Zoe took the realm delivering a delicious summer Community Supper!
