Bell Ringers
Jim and Gloria Boland recruit smiling, happy people to ring in Christmas cheer for the Salvation Army. Many Rotarians signed up to ring the bell and 4 are captured smiling for the camera - actually 5 if you count Tonka as an honorary Rotarian! While not a full-size reindeer, he is dear. Brenda said people generously donated dollars once they encountered Tonka. Thank you, all Bell Ringing Rotarians, for standing in the cold, putting Service above Self.
20,000 Lives
The population of Plumas County - 20,000 - is the focus of Monday's speaker Serena Troupe who leads 20,000 Lives. Named for the 2010 census population of Plumas County, 20,000 Lives is a community coalition designed to connect people that strive to make Plumas County communities even better places to live, work, learn, and play. The coalition’s quarterly meetings are open to the public and are held where Rotary meetings are held in the Mineral Building.
Pop-up Shopping on Monday
Bring cash, check, or credit card to this Monday's meeting for a bit of pop-up shopping. Local vendors will bring their wares to Rotary like last year. See the photos at the right. This is a wonderful opportunity to buy local and get your holiday shopping completed.
