Hometown Boy
Hometown Greenville boy, Tyler Pew, Monday's speaker, is one of the leaders of The Plumas Housing Council, an outgrowth of The Almanor Foundation’s attainable workforce housing project, which addresses the county’s housing shortage following the Dixie Fire. Initially, Tyler came home from San Francisco to help his family fight the fire and then stayed to help his community rebuild after the fire.
PHC efforts are shaping the future of housing in Plumas County by building homes and partnerships to grow housing access for buyers, renters, and workforce families - like healthcare workers, local mill workers, hospitality industry staff, and college students.
PHC "supports countywide housing efforts by aligning and coordinating programs, projects, and leaders while promoting collaborative solutions that create sustainable, attainable, and community-rooted housing for all."

Ribbon cutting for the 1st PHC home. It was a joint effort by RRA Builders, Paradise Affordable Homes, Plumas Housing Council, the Almanor Foundation and Dixie Fire Collaborative. Kudos to Supervisors Kevin Goss, Mimi Hall and Planning Director Tracey Fergusson.
Calendar These Dates
Oakland Feather River Camp staff will present Mon., March 30, updating us on their summer plans.
The Area Speech and Music Contest is Sat., April 4, 9:30 am, at Quincy's Catholic Church fellowship hall. Plan on light refreshments.
There will be No Rotary on Easter Monday, April 6.
The Area Foundation Dinner is Friday, April 10 at Greagle Meadows, 5:30 pm. Cost is $35 so bring a check.
Sell, Sell, Sell
Quincy Rotary's biggest fundraiser of the year is the upcoming annual golf tournaments on May 16 - and we make our money on Tee Signs - So buy one, ask a business to buy one, have a relative buy one! $50 per Sign. Deadline May 1.
