The Superior Court Judge Candidates
Candidates Madeline Warren and Wayne Yates, vying for the position of judge of the Superior Court in Plumas County, spoke at last week's meeting, providing background information and answering questions at Quincy Rotary. Best wishes to both of you.
Rich Bar Field Trip
Next Monday, Quincy Rotary is going on an evening Field Trip. We meet at Rich Bar on Main Street at 5:15 pm and walk from there to Quincy's former Rite Aid storefront. The bar's owners, Alex and Aleda, will provide a tour of their newest business venture, an extension of their other business American Valley Hardware. We will hear their vision. Renovations have begun so it'll be fun to see what they've done with the place.
Afterwards, the tour group heads back to Rich Bar for appetizers and a no-host bar.
Bring your significant other for the evening event. Remember no noon meeting - Just the evening at Rich Bar.
Sell Tee Signs!
Mark L. says we've almost hit our mark of 100 sponsor tee signs to be placed conspicuously at the Rotary Golf Tournament. Last I heard we were at 82. Sell, Sell, Sell!
Member of the Week
Trash Queen Karen K. has asked Quincy Rotarians to volunteer for a Downtown QuincyClean-up on Saturday, May 9. Be prepared to pull weeds in the Lawrence Street parking lot and other spaces that look weedy. Bring garden gloves and knee pads if you have them and friends to help. Be prepared to get dirty. Let's spruce up Quincy!
