Nov. 06, 2018 7:00 a.m. - 8:15 a.m.
This is our monthly club service meeting where we join together to learn more about Rotary, and how our club can be more effective in serving the community and the world. November is Rotary Foundation Month! Our program for this meeting will be a presentation on Our Rotary Foundation by Past District Governor, and Regional Rotary Foundation Coordinator, Steve Lewis. Steve is from the Carson City Club and was our Governor in 2010-2011. He is passionate about our Foundation and will bring an interesting and inspiring perspective to this important tool for Rotarians. Rotarians around the world use Our Foundation to improve lives. This year our club is partnering with three other Area 2 Clubs to repair and rebuild the 4-H barn at the Plumas Sierra County Fairgrounds. The Foundation will be matching our $2,000 in club funds with a $2,500 grant in Foundation money. This makes our monetary contribution to the project $4,500! This is a big project, and hopefully we will have a stand alone program on it soon! Also, during the Governor's visit in September you saw a few Paul Harris Fellow recognitions awarded, and everyone present made a contribution to End Polio Now! These are both part of Our Foundation, so come and learn some more, and enjoy the show! |
