ROTARY CLUB OF MINDEN WINS SERVICE CLUB OF THE YEAR

The Rotary Club of Minden, Nevada received the Service Club of the Year Award at the annual Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce Community Awards Gala on November 4th at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden.  The Service Club of the Year Award is one of several awards presented at the gala each year.  The Minden Club supports a variety of programs aimed at helping at risk youth in the Carson Valley area. Club President, Pat Bridges, said “It takes a dedicated team to do what we do.  I’m fortunate to work with a talented group of people who care about making the Carson Valley a better place to live.” President Pat and a dozen other members accepted the award on stage.  At the presentation President Pat invited the attendees of the Gala to join Rotary Club of Minden.   “If you are wondering how you can help others in the Carson Valley, please stop by one our meetings every Tuesday at 11:30 and we’ll find a way to get you involved.”  The Rotary Club of Minden supports children at risk and other important community programs. Founded in 1926, our membership consists of community leaders who value service above self. With around 200 people attending every March, the Minden Rotary Beast Feast is the one of the biggest events of the year in Douglas County. Funds generated from the Beast Feast auction raises funds that enable the Rotary Club of Minden to support these community programs.
