Moline Rotary helps heep our city clean!

The Moline Rotary club has a long history of cleaning up an area throughout the quad cities. This is similar to the Adopt a Highway program that is popular throughout the United States. The majority of the activities take place along Ben Butterworth Parkway near the mighty Mississippi River in Moline, Il. In fact the City of Moline has even posted a sign recognizing the Moline Rotary club for their support. Cleanup efforts have also taken place near John Deere Road and the 41st street corridor.
It is normally scheduled twice a year, once in the spring and again in the fall. It is a well attended event with members, families and most recently the newly formed Rotaract group that is made up of younger members of the community interested in becoming members of Rotary. In 2010 our club distributed “Green” grocery bags in conjunction with Earth day.
The Moline Rotary’s clean-up efforts are just one of the many activities focused upon “giving back” to the Quad City area.
