UKRAINIAN APPEAL  In response to the deepening humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, The Rotary Foundation has created an official channel for Rotary members around the world to contribute funds to support the relief efforts underway by Rotary Districts and has designated its Disaster Response Fund as the main avenue for contributions.
Contributions to the Disaster Relief Fund in support of Ukraine can be made online at MyRotary.org. All funds need to be received into the Disaster Response Fund by April 30 in order to qualify for use in support of the Ukrainian relief efforts. The club announced that our district was able to donate $50,000 to the Rotary Foundation disaster relief fund that will be going to Ukraine. Thank you so much for all you do. Second Grade Author Program
Jim Rabchuk presented a community needs check to the Moline Public Library for the second grade author program. This program brings in all the second graders in Moline to the library to here a presentation by children’s author Jill Esbaum, this was a program that was put on hold for the last couple of years due to COVID so everyone is excited to bring it back.
Moline Rotary Student Scholarships
J.C. Millman reminded the club that the scholarship applications are available in the school counselors office. These scholarships are available for everyone who lives in district 40 at Moline High School or Alleman.

Moline Rotary Foundation Scholarship Applications - DUE FRIDAY, MARCH 18, 2022
The Moline Rotary Foundation will award up to five (5) $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors living in the boundaries of Moline School District No. 40 and planning to continue their education. Awards will be given based on active involvement in service oriented activities, leadership, and academic achievement. Applications will be reviewed and scholarship funds awarded by the Moline Rotary Club Scholarship Committee. Click here for application.

50/50 started up again, we took in $130 on Monday and Mike Crotty and Jim Flick picked the cards but no winner this week, the total will roll over to next week.
