This dedicated Gateway Rotarian, who helps with set up before each Rotary meeting, is a dedicated father and grandfather who enjoys walking during his leisure time. Owning his own consulting firm, Johnson Integrated Services, he is also a leader at his church and serves as an Executive Director on the John Maxwell Leadership Team. We are happy to have Ed as member, helping us to be “People of Action.”
It’s always fun to learn about our fellow Gateway Rotarians, through their Classification Talks and this past week, we got to learn a little more about Ed Johnson. Born and raised in Buffalo-Rochester area of Upstate New York, he is the oldest of six kids. Growing up included measuring snow in feet (not inches), routine visits to Niagara Falls and achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended the State University of New York in Morrisville (now called Morrisville State College), got married and had three sons, and, over the course of his career, became the CEO of three manufacturing facilities (served three companies; Seneca Foods, Olympic Foods and Oregon Cherry Growers)before retiring in 2012. He’s been married to his wife, Kathy, for twenty-seven years and got to enjoy a colossal all-expense paid vacation (by his last employer) on Maui with their family upon his retirement.
