The Penticton Public Libaray has always been a place for readers of all ages to enjoy a good book and a peaceful moment. The children's area has child size seating and little else than the comfort of the carpeted floor for seating options. The library staff identified seating as a factor limiting the enjoyment of the space and have wanted to bring in other comfortable options, but budget constraints had prevented that from coming to fruition. In support of comfort for readers of all ages and special times shared with good books, the Penticton Okanagan Rotary Club presented the library with a check to purchase the desired new chair. The "reading love seat" is a oversized chair proportioned so two small readers can sit beside their adult in comfort. We look forward to seeing it enjoyed by readers of all ages in the months and years ahead.
