Rotary Meeting June 17

President Ron presided over his last noon hour meeting! He has next Wednesday's installation evening yet to run but this was the end of one jazzy era! Congrats on a well done year Ron! In honor of this occasion we allowed him to win the $100 50/50 draw! There was a banner exchange with guest Hans Henning of the Rotary Club of Lethbridge East. 13 members plus 3 guests heard Bonny Dancey, CEO of the South Okanagan Chamber of Commerce talk about the initiative to get older people to come back into the workforce; their efforts to address the excessive business property tax rates and the progress in the amalgamation of the Osoyoos/Oliver/Okanagan Falls Chambers. Judy gave a golf tournament summary .... we will make something in the order of $14-16m when all is in and that is extraordinary! Judy, Cheryle, Shelly and Randy are to be congratulated with huge thanks. Harold reported he was pleased to present a $1000 Rotary scholarship check to Sandev Mann on the weekend. Also a reminder that donations for the Polio eradication garage sale at his house is still receiving sale items. The Rotary RELAY FOR LIFE team takes to the track on Saturday for a 6 pm start. No noon meetings on June 24 (installation dinner on June 23rd at 6:00pm at Walnut Beach Resort) or the July 1st holiday.
