Rotary Meeting Dec 2

The first meeting in December and only 3 weeks to Christmas! Of course Cheryle and Jim have already gone ahead and celebrated with a marriage last week! How do we top that? Congratulations guys! 14 members and 2 guests enjoyed lunch and a great presentation and discussion by Susan Brown from Interior Health. Susan is an RN and a senior administrator with Community Health Services and one of 18,000 Interior Health Employees! Susan shared trends and changes that affect us as we think about health services. One priority is strengthening primary health care ie more family doctors as a way to reduce overall costs and improve health care delivery. Another was the emphasis on care outside the hospital which allows more elderly to receive care at home. Good question and answer session. El Presidente Ryan had his ticket drawn and then proceeded to win the $150 pot. We are all confident Rotary Foundation will be pleased with his contribution?
