Rotary Meeting Aug 19

11 Rotarians and 1 guest attended today's meeting on a gorgeous day. Past Pres Ron presided and was very entertaining as he filled the time left as our scheduled speaker missed the meeting. Judy presented the history of the Rotary wheel in the Rotary Minute. Guest Ron Newson from Kamloops West talked about hands-on projects they do both internationally and in the community and this resonated with the crowd and discussion followed on how we could participate in Osoyoos. Cheryle advised that the golf tournament is set for June 18 next year and there followed a good discussion on fund raising for the year which will be continued at a future meeting. Jeff won the ticket draw but missed the $100 joker. Only 6 cards next week!
