During today's meeting, Nick discussed his main goals for the year and new ideas to engage our newest and oldest members.
-All members: if you were not at the meeting this morning, please follow the instructions to enter yourself onto a new platform for the club called Remind 101. We will send a text reminder of important meetings, events, or work days so that club members will always know the news! Send a text to 81010 with the message being @clubm to add you to the list. You will receive a reply asking to respond with your full name so that I can see who it is from my end.
Other News
-Raymond "Bunky" Jordan has been asked to be the program chair for our club so if you have a contact for a program that you would like to hear at our meetings please get with Bunky to set that up.
-Last night, 7/5, club members Joe Magnuson, Bunky Jordan, Robert Vasquez, and Nick Droege spoke with the Alvin Parks Board to discuss the improvements that the club is wanting to make to Briscoe Park. They spoke about adding True Grid in a couple high traffic locations to help with major ruts that have been presented in the past. -Be on the lookout for upcoming Rotary Family Nights in the near future!

 Thank you to Annette Martinez, AISD District Social Worker for being our Guest Speaker last week.
Ms. Martinez spoke to the club about 'at risk' children and how her department can help those children with setting life goals as well as just dealing with everyday life ranging from food, to clothes,, relationships, drugs and alcohol, to housing and jobs.

The Sunrise Club donated over 2600 lbs of meat to the food bank in Alvin.
