Sheila Olson, Executive Director of the Alvin ISD Education Foundation, visited the Alvin Sunrise Rotary Club to provide an update on the upcoming Turtle Race (Feb. 9 @ National Oak Park) and to express appreciation to the Club members for their ongoing support of the Foundation. The Education Foundation raises money for the sole purpose of supporting students and educators in Alvin ISD.

 

We will have a booth during the Turtle Race! If you are interested in signing up for a slot, please let Kinsey know. 

During this morning’s Alvin Sunrise Rotary Club Meeting, Karen Dorn provided an update on how students with special needs are served through the Alvin ISD Transitions program as they gain job skills. Need to sell those raffle tickets?! We will have the buggy parked in front of Joe's BBQ every Tuesday from lunch-dinner to sell, sell, sell! Joe has also agreed to allow us to park the buggy in front of the banquet center on Saturday mornings during their breakfast buffet.
