Brad McCally stopped by our club this morning to share a fantastic resource for families in our community called Jacob's Farm. The farm is designed as a place for special needs students to be able to come and enjoy an afternoon hanging out, relaxing, and not worrying about any sort of boundaries stopping them. The entire farm is one solid level of concrete making it easy for children to navigate on their own. A large portion of the farm is dedicated to vegetable plants in raised beds that Brad is happy to let the children try the fresh grown items right off the stem! Brad shared that it also allows parents to share some quality time together and meet other special needs parents in the area.
Jacob's Farm is open on Saturdays from 10-2 at 1805 Jephson lane in Alvin. In the Summer he will extend his hours. We have asked Brad for various ways that the club can help and are excited to share these with the club.
