As of July 01, 2016, the Foundation/International Service Committee has been discontinued, and in its place the club has created individual committees for the Foundation Committee and the International Service Committee.  Information that is found within this specific site will continue to be maintained as an Archive site.

The Foundation/International Service Committee's role encompasses four thrusts:

(1) the development and implementation of a plan to support the Foundation through program participation and financial contributions;

(2) the implementation and maintenance of a Club Grant Program, based on the new Foundation Vision Plan;

(3) the development and implementation of humanitarian programs and projects in other countries; and

(4) the provision of educational programs at the club level to provide all club members with a full understanding of The Rotary Foundation and how humanitarian programs/projects are developed and implemented.

The aim of the Committee is to advance international understanding, goodwill, and peace through its program of humanitarian service. ‘Service Above Self’ is Rotary International's motto, which means that every member of the Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise is responsible for contributing in some way to improve the quality of life for those around the world.
