Every year, the Rotarians from Kelowna Sunrise strive to help lift the spirit of people in need throughout the Christmas season.  They do this in a number of ways, including hosting their 7th annual Women’s Shelter Dinner for women who have left everything behind and who live at the shelter.  The event was held on December 11th at a venue at First Baptist Church in Kelowna.

Coordinator for the Dinner, Anke Sedmak, shared that 45 Rotarians and spouses from the club volunteered to make the event possible, providing over 100 delectable home cooked gourmet meals, along with a take home meal for their children or themselves.  “Overall, a very successful event and fun time for all volunteers and guests,” stated Anke.
