Nearly fifty Kelowna Sunrise Rotarians and friends of Rotary served beverages to a thirsty crowd during the Nitro Circus held at the Apple Bowl in Kelowna on May 26th as a means to continue to support of the Okanagan Sun Football club.  Over $50,000 of sales was generated during the evening.  As a way to express their appreciation, the Rotary club received ten percent of the sales made during the evening.

The beverage service was coordinated by club Rotarian Brian Fennell, who also coordinates the sale of beverages by the Kelowna Sunrise Rotary Club annually during the home games of the Okanagan Sun.

During the meeting of June 29th, Les Weiss, President of the Sun Football club, presented a cheque for $5000 to Sunrise Rotary today; and while doing so acknowledged the many years of Sunrise Rotary’s support for the football club.
