Participants in the second session of the Foundation Committee’s Virtual Fireside held on Wednesday, February 17th, 2021, were provided with an overview of how the donations of club members to The Rotary Foundation Annual Share Fund can financially support the club’s humanitarian service within the community and worldwide.  Tom Paterson, the chair of the club’s Foundation Committee, using a video and a PowerPoint production, illustrated how and when the donations are directed to the club’s district designated funds and the global fund of TRF, which in turn provide matching grants to the club to substantially increase the funding available for specific projects.

Paterson also illustrated three examples of humanitarian projects involving the Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise that proved to be very successful in bringing about significant change in three developing countries.
