The Kelowna Cool Arts Society was the recipient of financial assistance from the Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise.  On June 15th, the members of the club approved funding of $1621 to assist the not-for-profit Society, in partnership with resource teachers from Okanagan School District 23 and a number of professional level artists within the community, in meeting its goals in providing art classes for transitioning adults.

The Society offers art classes to the transitioning adults who are accompanied by their designed caregivers.  These classes are designed to be process oriented and experiential, and are provided in a safe, student-centred environment where the participants can make discoveries in art practice without distraction.
As the 2017-18 Rotary year comes to an end, the club is pleased to share that it has donated over $50,000 to support community charities and those in need this Rotary year.  Specific donations made by the club this year, and in past Rotary years, are listed in this website within the “Donations Committee” site.  Simply click on the “Service Areas and Committees” page on the left hand side of the Home Page, then open “Community Service Area” Related Page and check out the “Donations Committee” site.
