The Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise was pleased to welcome its first new member for the 2018-19 Rotary Year on July 27th.  Scott Rattee, sponsored by club members Brian Fennell and Craig Garries, was inducted by Membership Director Brian Wrightson and then officially welcomed and recognized by all of the club members in attendance at the Club’s meeting.
Scott is excited to be a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club, as it exemplifies in its actions the values that he lives by, particularly the support and work that the club and its members expend in making a difference for those in need within the community.  Scott’s focus on giving back to the community through his active coaching of soccer for youth for over 30 years, for his service on the Board of Directors of the Okanagan Sun Football Club and his active membership on the Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, clearly illustrate this point.
While Scott was born in Montreal, most of his years have been spent in British Columbia.  He attended Handsworth Secondary in North Vancouver and then attended Capilano College.  Following graduation from Capilano, he served as a sales and marketing manager, managing a team of sales and marketing professionals for the British Columbia and Alberta Liquor.  Since June of 2000, he has been the Sales and Marketing Manager for Pacific Western Brewing Company which is based in Prince George.  Scott has resided in Kelowna since 2003.
Aside from volunteering, Scott’s interests take in coaching soccer, watching NFL football, exercising, and most importantly family.
