Notification of the approval of three District Grant Humanitarian Projects by The Rotary Foundation was received on May 20th, 2021 enabling the Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise and its partners to commence with a project in Mexico, and two others in Honduras.
A total of $US43,885, which includes funding from Canadian Rotary clubs in District 5060 and District Designated Funding of $US20,785, will finance these projects almost immediately. The commitment by the Rotary Club of Kelowna Sunrise for these three projects amounts to $US7,400.
All three projects focus on Disease Prevention and Treatment and Maternal and Child Health, two of the areas of focus designated by The Rotary Foundation.
