Donna Moyer was presented with the “Local Hero Award,” an award that recognizes a non-Rotarian within the community who has provided leadership for programs and activities that “Make a Difference” and who exemplifies the Rotarian ideal of “Service Above Self.”

Since 2008, Donna has been directly involved with Shoe Bank Canada, endlessly volunteering, providing leadership with community and school shoe collection drives, and managing the Shoe Bank Canada store that provides free footwear for those in need since its opening in 2014.  Donna's volunteerism goes beyond Shoe Bank Canada as she is a very active volunteer with many other community activities.

While receiving a Certificate for the “Local Hero Award,” Donna was presented with a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow Award which is annually awarded by the club to a non-Rotarian for their high level of community leadership, volunteerism and focus.
