A. As is required of all Club Service Committees, the Foundation/International Service Committee shall:

1. Establish annual goals, the means to achieve the goals and a plan for monitoring and evaluating the success of the committee in achieving these goals

2. Regularly report to the executive and club membership the goals, the progress in achieving these goals, and the activities of the committee

3. Meet as a committee of the whole on a regular basis to achieve the business of the Committee

B. Specifically, the Foundation/International Service Committee shall assume the following duties and responsibilities

1.   Fund Development

      1.1 Provide information on the vision, goals, organization and operations of the Foundation

      1.2 Establish annual goals for the Fund Raising Campaign

      1.3 Report regularly on the progress of the club in achieving the Campaign Goals

      1.4 Recognize members who have achieved Paul Harris Fellow Awards

      1.5 Educate the members on the different ways to give to the Foundation

      1.6 Educate members about the Benefactor and Bequest Society Program and encourage them to participate in the program

      1.7 Plan and implement special fund raising campaigns where the proceeds are designated to the specific programs of the Foundation

2.   Implementation of the New Rotary Foundation Vision Plan

      2.1 As members of the Foundation/International Service Committee, become fully knowledgeable about the New Rotary Foundation Vision, and the District 5060 guidelines and procedures for the New RI Vision and how it is to be implemented at the club level.

      2.2 Educate the members of the club on the New Rotary Foundation Vision and its operations.

      2.3 Provide guidance to the Club in the implementation of the New Rotary Foundation Vision, particularly the Club’s Grant Program.

      2.4 Ensure that the Club is qualified on an annual basis to participate in the District Grants Program of the District.

      2.5  Develop and complete the necessary club application for the use of District Grants due to the District Grants Management Committee.

      2.6  Monitor the progress of the implementation of the Club’s Grant Plan and assume responsibility for all interim and final reporting.

3.   International Service

      3.1 Educate the membership on the programs of RI focused on International Service

      3.2 Encourage the club to support the various humanitarian programs ( matching grant projects, and disaster relief)

      3.3 Support International Education Programs such as the Ambassadorial Scholarship Program and the Rotary Centre for International Studies

      3.4 Affiliate with and support other humanitarian organizations such as Rotaplast Canada

      3.5  Develop plans for humanitarian service projects and complete the necessary requirements as dictated by the Foundation

      3.6  Prepare annual goals for humanitarian international service, including budget requests, for the consideration of the club.
