A good roll up of 16 gathered at Munro’s for the AGM of the club.
President Jennifer called the meeting to order at precisely 7.02pm.
Draft minutes of the meeting have been circulated so will not be discussed in the bulletin.

Our Christmas function is at the Hydro on 11th December. A two-course meal for $35
The resolution at the District Meeting – 1,2 and 4 were unanimous. 3 was passed by a slim majority.

Thank you all for your support for the Market Day and Ham Carnival. Both were successful events due to the great support.
I will be looking for Volunteers for The SunRice Christmas Party. We will assemble at SunRice (main office NOT the Mill) at 10.30am to erect the 4 gazebos and put out tables and chairs. We need to be ready for a 12.30pm to 1pm so I guess we will start cooking around 12 -12.15. We will be cooking for about 40 guests. We then need to pack up on Saturday morning – I think around 9am. I think as many as possible to set up and pull down but we should only need 3 – 4 for cooking.

The Meeting on 18th December will be in the breakfast room at the Hydro.
No meeting on 25th December or 1st January.
Maybe a pub meal on 8th January.
The meeting on 15 January will be at Munro’s and catered by Inner Wheel (25 each).

The golf day committee met and evaluated Boys to the Bush as a suitable charity. Our club approved that Boys to the Bush be the approved charity for 1 year.
Table decorations
The club approved to use of decorations by Jane Rhodes for yr 6 graduation and Aaron for the Southern Cross Assumption Villa Ball.

The Walle Hill trail seats were discussed and design approved (subsequently we learnt that Council would not approve this design.

Market Day – 6 December
The market was quite successful if a little hot. The day started very slow but picked up as we went along. We made a solid profit on the day (around $700 but this was helped along by the donation of 6 boxes from Dan. We sold out of all the supplies so there is no carry-over for the next markets in February.
A lesson from the day was that it is best to put the gazebo up early and not in the middle of the day. It also probably helps to know how to do it!

Ham Carnival – 7 December
It was a beautiful day for the Light Up Leeton event. Although it was a little slow at times, we managed to dispose of 62 hams, and the 8 remaining were sold to the unlucky helpers.
Brian did a great job on the mic, and along with his helper, Damian, they managed to keep everything moving. Thanks to Geoff for the ute, and for transporting everything on the day, , George (and Barry) for the cool room. I think we were a great team, and I thank every helper for their support. Unfortunately, I forgot to take any pictures. The WIN news had some good shots on Monday evening, and I have grabbed a couple from the light up Leeton Facebook page.

A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him. As he sits, the waitress comes over and asks for their orders. The man says, "I'll have a hamburger, fries and a coke," and turns to the ostrich, "What's yours?" "I'll have the same," says the ostrich. A short time later the waitress returns with the order. "That will be $6.40 please," and the man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact change for payment. The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says, "I'll have a hamburger, fries and a coke," and the ostrich says, "I'll have the same." Once again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change. This becomes a routine until late one evening, the two enter again. "The usual?" asks the waitress. "No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and salad," says the man, "same for me," says the ostrich. A short time later the waitress comes with the order and says, "That will be $12.62."Once again the man pulls exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table. The waitress can't hold back her curiosity any longer. "Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change out of your pocket every time?" "Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the attic and I found an old lamp. When I rubbed it a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes. My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money would always be there." "That's brilliant! “says the waitress. "Most people would wish for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want for as long as you live!" "That's right. Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there," says the man. The waitress asks, "One other thing, sir, what's with the ostrich?" The man sighs, pauses, and answers, "My second wish was for a tall chick with long legs who agrees with everything I say."
